A photography weekend in the Highlands of Scotland

Eilean Donan Castle at Night - I didn't realise that the castle was illuminated at night, another great photo opportunity.

I have just got back from a weekend away in the highlands of Scotland with three now close photography friends. Jon, Neil, and Dave (click their names to see their great work) were a great laugh to travel with, we captured some great shots and sampled some nice local hospitality (and some not so hospitable too, I am not sure I have ever been asked to ‘call it a night quite’ so bluntly!). For anyone who is into photography I would highly recommend a trip like this, as one of the most useful things to come out of the trip was all the tips we shared, and advice given. Most enjoyable indeed.

Below are a sample of the shots I grabbed whilst there.

Bottoms Up - Looking up Loch Shiel on a miserable day. There was about a 5 min break in the rain and I managed to grab one long exposure at least...

Loch Alsh - As we were staying in Dornie, we had plenty of chances to grab shots of this iconic castle. Here you have a panorama of the scene.
